About the Job
As a backend engineer, you will be responsible for backends that power a plethora of bespoke AI solutions. You will collaborate closely with AI and frontend teams, integrating backend systems into various deployment environments. You will design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain backend systems that work, securely, reliably, and efficiently at scale. You will champion best practices, processes, and whatever it takes to deliver timely, high-quality solutions for clients.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of developing and scaling high-traffic applications
- Extensive expertise in Python and Node.js
- Proficiency in data stores and big data technologies
- Experience with cloud services, infrastructure as code, containerization, and workload orchestration
- Solid understanding of secure web development processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Strong communication (especially writing) and team collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with deep learning technologies and frameworks
- Experience with building machine learning pipelines for training, evaluation, and serving
- Experience with frontend technologies
- Extensive experience in operations and management of production environments
